Suk Lee | Founding Director  AIA. LEED AP BD+C

NAUxLab Director Suk Lee is an architect licensed in New York, USA, and a LEED AP BD+C green building expert. He is currently a professor at the Department of Architecture at Kyung Hee University. He has experience in numerous national research projects, and has been working across scales from props, furniture, interiors, and architecture. In addition, as a founding partner of the non-profit organization PROJECT-project, he received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for his domestic and international design talent donation activities. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at the University of Washington and receiving a master’s degree in architecture from MIT, he gained practical experience as a project architect at Steven Holl Architects in New York. As for international awards, he won the LafargeHolcim Awards (3rd Prize, 2014) for an air purification system using algae, and his MIT graduation thesis won the grand prize at the Rethinking The Future Awards in 2015. Additionally, in 2017, he was awarded the GOLD (The Graduate of the Last Decade) Award from the Washington State University School of Architecture as the best graduate among the graduating class of the past 10 years.
